Lakshmi, elephants and the Muse w/ ADD

So Lakshmi seems to be slow going, but I've gotten her arms half beaded! She'll need fancy bling and bangles on her wrists and a bit of soft scultping to make her hands look like hands and not mittens.

They arms are done enough that I can attach them to her shoulders once I get there. My next step is to secure all the cabs on her body with beads. Cabs, being her face and a few decorative pieces of glass that I've attached to her body.

Now the Intention is to begin the cab securing proces tonight after work and have it finished by Friday so I can spend next weekend working on shoulders and torso. However, this particular project is incredibly stimulating to the Muse and I've already had to put it down to create a Cuff and a two Barrettes...two are finished, the other is just begun.
I pulled out possible  Beads and Cabs to add to her and began new projects with the ones that didn't quite go, like this Barrette. I loved the Handpainted elephant bead but it was in orange and green that wasn't going to work with the rich red of Lakshmi's torso - but the Muse insisted on playing because those orange discs were a perfect match!

And Speaking of Elephants, does anyone else find this hilarious!

Alright, maybe its' just me!
I'll take more pictures of her progress this week as well as the Muse inspired Cuff.

It'll be a few weeks before she's completely done but I'll post progress pictures!

I don't know how you do this...you must have the patience of a saint! Looking forward to seeing her when she's done...love all your art dolls! As for the elephant in the doll house...so cute! She(he?) looks like she is exhausted and just crashed right then and there!

LOL! Thanks Jane, Not so much about patience as determination to see my vision through.

As for the 'elephant in the room' it got stuck trying to go through the front door...not just once but about 3x's...

She may have gotten her determination from me, but we're still working on problem solving!
